My2scrappychicks Presents Website Wednesday

We’ve had a great week so far here at My2scrappychicks. We gave away a great sweatshirt to one LUCKY customer (thanks again to Zebra Hoodies). We had a great company meeting and got lots of things planned for the near future and the weather is beautiful here in Texas.

Today is Website Wednesday. My goal here is to share some of my favorite spots on the web. Some are scrapbook related and some are just inspiring to me. If you know of a website that you would like to share please leave us a comment.

Here is an amazing site Baby Be Blessed.

Hope ElizabethLucy Lou

They make dolls for children and each one has a scripture patch sewn onto it’s belly. Their mission is spreading the Word of God one doll at a time.  Go take a peek you will love the message they share.

One of the sites that I wish I lived in is Sally Jean.

artist: i must make art

It really is one place that I go to almost weekly and ALWAYS get inspired. It’s vintage, girly, shabby and YUMMY…

Next week I will have a few of my favorite digital scrapbooking sites to share with you. I don’t do any digital scrapbooking but they are a great place to get inspiration and ideas.

Be Careful What You Call Your Scrapbook Room

It’s Monday and I need to laugh so hopefully this will do the trick. If you are a mom (or just a girl) and a “messy” scrapbooker, I think you will get a kick out of this real life story.

First you must have some of the facts: 1) We had just moved to Texas (no one in the SMALL town really knew us), my son was in the 4th grade, my adorable hubby calls my “scrapbook room” the “hole” because when I go in there I have a hard time getting out. Ok, now that you have some of the facts- here goes.

My son Biggie came home from school digs into his paper filled back-pack and pulls out a homemade “Thanksgiving” card. His teacher had given the class an assignment to fill in the blanks to the sentences she had written on the white board and then decorate it however they wished. It went something like this…

I hear________________.

I feel________________.

I love it when __________________.

I see_________________.

The last sentence said, “I am thankful for all of them”.

I’m reading Biggies responses and beaming like a proud Mama Bear, when I get to the very last writing prompt and read:

I see MY MOM’S DIRTY HOLE.

Now being the calm (in state of shock) Mom that I am, I kneeled down to Biggies eye level gave him the biggest hug ever and then bolted into the bathroom to laugh, cry and quickly call the teacher before she called CPS. I never got a hold of his teacher that night. The next morning while driving to school, with very large sunglasses on, I nonchalantly asked Biggie, “What did your teacher say when she saw your card? Did she ask what you meant by my dirty hole?” Biggie looked at me like I was asking him what the weather was like outside, said “Yeah, I told her Dad calls your scrapbook room the “HOLE” and it’s really dirty.” I never did hear from the teacher, CPS never did remove my children and I still have the card. I did however tell my hubby that maybe he should find a new name for my favorite place in the house.
